Remember the 2008 summer when we were too poor to eat out but still desired to have good meal every night. Do it ourselves was the prefect solution. We enjoyed the moment to prepare the 3-main-course at her kitchen, which has beautiful sea view. At that time, we considered preparing a great meal is a way to de-stress.
The habit stopped when I don't think it will be appreciated. Yesterday, friend was excited and putting effort to prepare for a great (and expensive) meal. Even though you have to spend hours to prepare one meal, which only require 20 minutes to finish it. The satisfaction could not be replaced.
The poached pear was the perfect ending for the night. Definitely want to do it again. Hmm... X'mas eve dinner?
