What am I doing in India?

I work in a NGO called Child Right Trust. We work for all the children issue in India. In this two weeks I read really a lot of book and article about that. I really happy that I can be part of that. Because somewhere in the world there are so many kids are suffering. So many girl child be abused or violented.

Although you may be know about some of them, it is really little. Can you believe that there are many kids in India marriage under 18 years old. Before if you told me I will believe but I wont suprise because I didnt feel how small for under 18 years old. But under 18 years old can be they married at 14 years old. What are you doing when you are 14 years old. I was studying form 2! Then they will give birth at following year. that means you are a mum when you are 15 years. Then one more child coming after that.

More crazy is they will kill if their children is girl. WTF!!! although you wont feel anything but I feel very horrible. And it was not just one or two but is a lot... until now 2006!!!!!! this century.. and it still a big big problem.

I really feel I am very very very very lucky!

Food - sour and spicy

Ok.. I know India is big. And the culture is different but I never though is so different.

I love Indian food in Malaysia. But I hate Indian food in Bangalore. I loss my weight after came here because I really don't like their food.

This is because most of the food is sour!!!! and everything they cook until watering. I didn't eat any meat or complete vegetable for the whole first week...

Luckily, I finally found one Chinese Restaurant near my house. But it was cooked by Indian and taste like Indian as well. Anyway better than nothing. I want to cook hotwater but there are no kattle in my house so the cleavest idea for me is put it into the microwave.

I can't blame anything because just the culture is different. Is good for me to know that some part in the world they live like that. Now I know why people always say Malaysian food so good so good. it is really good!

traffic in India

now is 4:35pm in India. I am in the office and doing nothing again.

so just update the blog.

one of the culture shock I experienced was TRAFFIC and crazy driver as I mentioned before. How crazy are they? If you think Malaysian driver is road and crazy you are definately wrong!!!!!!! because the best is in INDIA!!!!

How they drive?
I really donow how to explain until you came here. Every day i feel tired and sick because of the traffic. How bad?
First, there are no traffic rule on the road. You never know how many line on the road and there are no two way different. You can use which ever you want although there are car coming toward you.

second, you do not need to tie your sit belt when you are in the car no matter you are driver or passenger. In malaysia, just only driver and in front passenger need to tie the sit belt. However, in New Zealand everyone has to tie their sit belt. And, in India, nobody need to tie their sit belt. It was so amazing =.='''

Third, just only motorbike driver need to wear the healmet. There are no rule to force the passenger of the motorbike to wear healmet. OMG!!! is it just driver more important? or more dangerous?

Fourth, until now I still don't know how the roundabout work. You can drive follow the clock way or opposite the clock way. Or you can cross the roundabout directly if you want =.=''' I am not kidding I really experienced that.

Fifth, cross the road. Do you think Malaysian people is crazy when they cross the road then you are wrong again. Because I am not dare to cross the road although live in Malaysia for 18 years.

So.. what do you feel?

One week in India..

I am doing this in my office. I don't think I am allowed to do this but I really nothing to do. I hope noone will get angry...

Last week is the hardest time in my life....

After I join AIESEC, we always talk about culture shock. At that time, I really though I knew what is culture shock. Actually I haven't experience cuture shock until I come to India...

Before I came here, I expect here will be dirty and crowded of people. I expect it will be not developed as good as Malaysia. However, most of things was wrong.

Actually after one week, everything for me is good just only the traffic and food make me very hard. During the weekend I went to ONE DAY tour in Bangalore. Then, I feel really sick.. Finally I got fever and stomachace. OMG..it is very hard.. You have to be alone when you were sick. Lucky get some love from my mum.

Another things is I still didnt get any proper task from the TN (company). Last week i just read the information about the company. And lucily last friday, finally my boss allocated some task to me.. But you know what, they told me this morning the project has been cancelled. thats mean i have to go back to my boring life and read 3 newspaper for whole day.. ahhhhhhhh

I still have a lot of story to tell... to be continued
