The best and the worst

During the time I was doing the research on Chinese market I found those fact...

In Malaysia,
The best company: Petronas
The company has the highest lost: MALAYSIAN AIRLINE

I was not suprise about the lost which made by Malaysian Airline. I believe everyone in Malaysia we know about this. However, I feel pretty impressive about Petronas!

But, Malaysian really have to work harder because within 1000 Asia best company. Only two companies in the first 300.. Of course, Japan companies are the majority in the list.

"Malaysia Boleh" (Malaysia Can).. Can we?
Wawasan 2020 (Malaysian will become a developed country in 2020), I am really wonder can we achieve this goal?

Weekend @ bangalore

As what I said, my Indian life always out of expectation and crazy, even my moving house experience.

Last Saturday, Carmen and me were moving to another new intern house which has a better location (close to everything you need). However, when we move in the house was still under construction (even we dont have a bed) and a lot of miscommunication with the landlord. I guess both of us was stressful under that situation. But since I had decided no way to regret. We slept on the mattress in the first day.

The next day, since I want to make my BANGALORE WEEKEND be a bit interesting. I decided to go for a brunch with Jon. We went to the top floor of a German Institute. There is a German restaurant with GERMAN BRUNCH!!! It was excellent. After having the Indian food for two months, it was such a bonus for my Indian life. The best thing is it is good value, one buffer + 2 REALLY NICE drink = INR350 (USD$8.4).

Annie loo, the coffee is really good

After the brunch, you would never believe that I move my house again after 24 hours. I gave this suprise to quite a lot of people especially Carmen, landlord before and now and myself. But I did a fast and good decision. I really like the place I am staying now. Good room, good kitchen, good toilet & shower, internet access, quite, new, FREEDOM!!!! Unfortunately my camera was broken. Will take some photo and post it later.

In conclusion, it will be a new page of my Indian life.

The 6th India trip - Hyderabad

>> Sunday, April 22, 2007

After came back to India, my first trip was Hyderabad with Gary and Kirsti.

"Hyderabad, City of Pearls, was once the seat of the mighty, Vijayanagar Empire. Today, the west side of Andhra Pradesh's capital is, with Bangalore, the seat of India's mighty software empire; it goes by the name 'Cyberabad' and genrates jobs, wealth and posh lounges with abandon....Hyderabad is an important centre of Islamic culture. It gracefully combines Hindu and Islamic traditionas... "

We went by bus, I had make a mistake which I booked the non A/C bus. For me it does not really matter because I do not like A/C and I had took the worst bus to Kerala before and now I can sleep everywhere with any condition. So this is good enough the most important is cheap!

Earlier in the morning, an amazing moment had happen. I saw the sun rise from the window of the bus. I love sun rise, it means a new day had started. Due to the car accident happened on the highway, we stuck in the middle of the road for half hour. However, I was surprisingly myself can deal with the situation patiently. India experience had changed my perception of all the bad things. Now for me all the bad situation is just part of life and EXPERIENCE! Be Positive :)

holy indian cow is crossing the road...

Golconda fort and Ramoji Film City are the highlight in this trip. This two places are two totally different places - past and present of India.

view of hyderabad

Golconda had been the capital of independent state of Telangana for nearly 80 years when Sultan Quli Quth Shah abandoned the fort in 1590. The water supply and sound message system (you can hear the clap at the top of the mountain while people clap at the bottom) was amazing.

Sultan used to have conference here

Film City is the place I would like to visit when I was in Bombay and Chennai, finally, I went to Hyderabad - Ramoji Film City. When I was in Chennai, it was mentioned the biggest film city in the world, in hyderabad, it also the biggest in the world so I am not sure which is the biggest. Anyway, it is big enough for me!!!

Am I in Bollywood or Hollywood

a fact airplane..

APLDX (AIESEC Asia Pasific Region National Conference) was another mind changing experience......

EATING
We met Hui Ling who is the intern in Hyderabad, was MCP of Malaysia, and the second Malaysian I met in India. She brought us to a decent restaurant. There is train inside the restaurant... the food is awesome and price is reasonable!!

we are here with different reasons..

Another night we had our dinner in one of the intern house. It is always good to meet other intern in other city. It was the first time I met Japanese intern in India..

The trip was not as crazy as travelled with the two Australians. However, it still a lot of memories.

Life Decision

>> Friday, April 13, 2007

Few days ago, I accidently saw the list of reasons of BACK-TO-INDIA-ONCE-AGAIN in my notebook. After 1.5 month, I definately made the right decision!
The best among them is LIVE WITH MY OWN. For the last 20 years, I had spent a lot of money from my parent. I really want to experience the life with my own earning when I am 21 year-old. The money I got from internship is enough for me to pay rent, food and travelling. It is such a big satisfaction and achievement!!!
Now another life decision was made...
Although I am not ready to leave India, I believe go back to NZ and run EB(executive board) in AIESEC auckland will be a better option for me. And I will finish my last paper for my degree. So I have to spent my following 12 months in New Zealand.
How to make sure I pick the right one?
1. Travelling
After India, I realize that how much I love about travelling. I remember the last two years in NZ I always want to travel around NZ, however, I just keep waiting and waiting for other people and go together. Now I will just do it!
The coming next 12 months, entire New Zealand, Japan and Shanghai will be my new target!!
2. AIESEC experience - may be I will have another life changing experience.
I am passion about the next coming year! I am looking forward to another new life experience and it must be very different with "increadible India".

洋名

>> Thursday, April 12, 2007

who is running?

Every morning in africa, a gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must run faster than the fatest lion or it will be killed.
Every morning a lion wakes up.
It knows it must outrun the slowest gazelle or it will starve to death.
It doesn't matter whether you are lion or a gazelle.
When the sun comes up, you better start running.

I found out interesting about this when I was reading The World is Flat. I start thinking about am I running, may be but I am sure I run very slow.

I should run faster... Hence, I had decide my plan for the next coming year after a deeply consideration. Lets YIFAN life Rock faster!

Ten things you can do in a boring office

>> Wednesday, April 04, 2007

Thing can do in a boring office

Let choose ten things to do from the list...

  1. Ignore the first five people who say 'good morning' to you
  2. Walk sideways to the photocopier.
  3. While an office mate is out, move their chair into the elevator.
  4. At lunchtime, get down on your knees and announce "As God is my witness, I'll never go hungry again".
Find the vacuum and start vacuuming around your desk.
  5. At the end of a meeting, suggest that, for once, it would be nice to conclude with the singing of the national anthem (extra points if you actually launch into it yourself).
  6. Drop a pen and wait until someone reaches to help pick it up, then scream, "That's mine!"
  7. Stand silently and motionless in the corner, facing the wall, without getting off.
  8. Page yourself over the intercom (do not disguise your voice
  9. When they're not looking, pour most of someone's fresh cup of coffee into your mug leaving them with an inch of brew - this really appeals to me!
  10. Carry your keyboard over to your colleague and ask "You wanna trade?"

Then the end of the day, you would never have to stay in the boring office again..
